Health & Safety Policy

A Health and Safety Policy is a plan detailing how you are going to manage Health and Safety issues. It is a requirement under Section 2(3) the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. Your policy should set out your commitment to managing your risks and meeting your legal duties. It should also inform people in your business of their duties towards health and safety at work and the steps that they need to take in order to fulfil those duties. We are able to produce a customised Health and safety policy to meet your needs.

Health & Safety Competent Person

A health and safety competent person is someone appointed to ensure that a company’s health and safety responsibilities are being met. It’s their job to recognise the health and safety risks within your workplace and identify sensible and suitable solutions. A competent person’s aim is to achieve and maintain a safe working environment while helping your organisation comply with health and safety laws and regulations.

A competent person isn't someone who employers can simply hand over all of their health and safety responsibilities to. Instead, it is someone who can offer assistance and advice, who can point the employer in the right direction and let them know what they need to do while

ACS Risk Management Services are   approved and  licensed trainers for IOSH Working Safely and IOSH Managing Safely courses.

If you are looking at applying for CHAS, Safe Contractor and Construction line. We can support you with your application. We will prepare your application, and liaise with the approving  body on your behalf and make sure that they understand how you and your business works.

Fire Risk Assessments 

A Fire Risk Assessment is about understanding the potential fire risks and improving your life safety standards and mitigate the fire risk to your business. It covers a range of areas including fire alarms, fire detection, systems monitoring, means of escape, fire-fighting equipment and more.

ACS consultants are qualified and    experienced in carrying out fire risk assessments across a variety of industries. 

Our consultant will attend your workplace and thoroughly review your fire safety and management arrangements and conduct a workplace       assessment to identify hazards. We will then provide you with a written report and practical action plan, which will have clearly prioritised recommendations.

WE also conduct fire risk assessments for HMO's. 

Risk Assessments and Method Statements. (RAMS)

Whether tendering for a contract with a client, or preparing to carry out works as a sole trader/contractor on a project, you are required to assess and determine appropriate controls for any hazards your employees, or other persons are likely to be exposed to due to your work activities.

We can provide assistance in putting together detailed general or generic and project specific RAMS documents in order to satisfy the needs of your client. 
We will review all documents and with your assistance, develop more robust RAMS which should prove     acceptable to your clients
